Cozy Christmas Living Room Decor
I am so excited to share our Cozy Christmas living room decor. I used a combination of fresh and live greenery mixed with vintage and new ornaments.
My house is finally decorated for the holidays. And it feels like we are going to have a very cozy Christmas living room.
Actually, it’s “almost” decorated.
I still have to finish the entryway and the banister, which is my absolute LEAST favorite thing to do when it comes to Christmas decorating.
Today I am sharing our living room. And I love it.
I decided to go with a more traditional color scheme of green and red. The trees are both from Balsam Hill.
My favorite decorating item in our home this year is the red glazed berries. I own about 60 sprigs of them and I absolutely love them. They are from Joann I have been buying them for three years.
If you look closely you will see them in every single room of our home. I am not kidding! (Look closely at my tree.)
The tree is also from Balsam Hill.
The vintage windows and glass containers are items I have collected at vintage flea markets.
I just had to share a close up of the berries.
You might remember that my vintage flower stand used to be on the left side of this picture.
Actually, it’s still there, we just took out the twelve flower buckets and replaced them with a lot of my vintage ornaments.
Doesn’t this look amazing?
Since our boys are coming home for the holidays we will be using this room quite a bit! With the fireplace roaring, we will have a very cozy Christmas living room. This is the room where we open our gifts on Christmas morning.
It’s also where Dave has read T’was the Night Before Christmas to the boys for twenty years. Every single Christmas Eve.
I used a lot of fresh greenery in our living room. I made a quick early morning trip to the Los Angeles Flower Mart on Monday and bought quite a few greens for decorating. I bought a 75′ cedar garland (for the banister and more) and ten additional bundles of cedar and eucalyptus.
I also purchased twenty wreaths from Trader Joe’s. Tomorrow they will be in almost every window of our home.
In the photo below you can see my favorite DIY Christmas Tree pillow. You can see how to make one in my blog post here.
I hope you have enjoyed the tour of our living room.
Soon I will be sharing tours of all of the rooms decorated for Christmas.
I am part of an amazing group of bloggers who are sharing a room in their home decorated for Christmas. Aren’t they fabulous?

Leslie,
Although I haven’t been to your home, I feel like I know it quite well. Your living room looks glorious with all your beautiful decorations!
Your living room is so beautiful.
Your living room is beautiful.
Looks very nice…like the comfort and joy pillow, did you make it? Also the little trees from Balsam Hill. I have one on the kitchen counter, I call it the Charlie Brown tree and is one of my favorites of the five trees I put up on the main floor. Four are full size. Tree’d out here! How wonderful for your family to be together for the holidays, I bet you are very excited.
It’s all lovely…my favourite touch is the vintage ornaments!
LOVE the living room – it looks so festive and cozy
Oh how beautiful and enchanting everything looks Leslie. If I was a guest in your home I would take a full hour going around with a cup of tea examining and enjoying every single item in your house……….except your personal item drawers of course. Just so, so lovely, warm, whimsical, creative and cozy.
Just gorgeous and cozy, Leslie! Thanks for having us in. Looking forward to seeing your other holiday decor.
Ha I can imagine those adult boys all sitting around the fireplace while Dad reads the story! So wonderful! Love your decorations this year, and I always love your gorgeous piano with the family photos. A beautiful and homey home you have!
Where is the art above the mantle from? Cozy and wonderful!
Hi Leslie,
Did you make the pillow on the sofa that is the wreath made of buttons? If so,
could you do a tutorial on how you did it.
Thanks and a Merry Christmas to you and your guys. I am a mom of 3 boys also.
I love what you did with all your ornaments!
I absolutely love the cozy vibe you’ve created in your living room for Christmas! The blend of vintage and festive decorations truly captures the spirit of the season. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space and inspiring us to make our own homes warm and inviting!
Aw this warms my heart to read! Thanks so much for being here!
