Why do I like iced tea so much?

I read somewhere that iced tea has been popular since the early 1900s. Of course, this means there has been plenty of time to perfect iced tea recipes, right? Plus, most iced tea also contains caffeine, which gives me a nice jolt in the afternoon and is likely another reason I like it.

Tea also contains an amino acid that produces a calming effect in the body, which can result in a better mood. I think this works best with decaf tea.

Iced tea also hydrates the body, so I like to mix it with my daily water intake. It makes it easier to drink enough liquids every day. (Yes, I do get bored with water all day long.)

I should probably mention that unsweetened tea is the best for you, and once you sweeten your tea, many of the positive aspects may no longer apply.

It is probably a good thing that I don’t like Sweet Tea. It is just too sweet for my taste buds!

So here are my five best-iced tea recipes.

It wasn’t until a few years ago that I tasted my first Chai Latte! Wow! I loved it. Chai tea is also excellent. It is a loose-leaf tea brewed in hot milk, usually with sugar to sweeten it.

This Coconut Iced Tea Chai Latte isn’t too sweet, and I love it.
