Most of you remember I took a dream trip to the HGTV HOME® by Sherwin-Williams Simply Blissful Color Collection back in early December. It was a quick but memorable trip to Hilton Head and we toured the home with the very talented designer @bpatrickflynn. I was so impressed by how he incorporated the Sherwin-Williams Simply Blissful Color Collection into the remodel. Every room was gorgeous!
Today I have partnered with some of my blogging friends to some of our favorite remodeling projects. I had a lot to choose from so I decided to share my most current project! I love remodeling projects and currently, I am in the midst of my biggest remodeling challenge ever. We are remodeling a one hundred year old home in Waco, Texas and even though it’s a lot of work, we are having so much fun!
I did it. I hired a contractor. It was a very hard decision and an important decision. And why was it so important? Because I am spending more of my budget with the contractor than I did on the purchase of the home!
A lot has been happening with our fixer upper home in Waco. We are still in escrow so I am not going to show any photos yet. I can tell you we bought a double lot with a small house (and room for another if we are really brave). The home was built in 1910 and yes, it is another one-hundred-year-old home.
So what do you think? This photo is a rendering of the room I have selected for my latest remodeling project, The One Room Challenge. This what I am calling “The Boys Room”. It used to be my husband’s room when he grew up (we bought my inlaws home twenty years ago). Then it was Andrew’s (our oldest son) room. When he went off to college it became Matt’s room. When he went off to college it became Michael’s room. Since Michael went off to college, this room has become anyone’s room who comes home to visit. Hence, it’s the “boys room”.
