I love Advent calendars. Especially the ones I can make myself. This DIY advent calendar took me less than two hours to make!

I am finally making progress decorating our home for Christmas. My theme for this year’s decor is a red and white farmhouse Christmas. I am excited to incorporate a combination of purchased decorations as well as a lot of homemade DIY Christmas decorations. So you can imagine how thrilled I am to partner with JOANN and I am so happy with the result. Their holiday greens are amazing and the three DIY Christmas projects were so much fun.
I love making Anthropologie inspired crafts. I used a heart pillow as my inspiration and made a Christmas pillow with ornaments instead.
I saw this heart pillow on Pinterest which was inspired by Anthropologie and I immediately knew I needed to make one. But I wanted to make a Christmas pillow with ornaments, not hearts!
Remember when I was in Taipei in August and I panicked when I saw all of the pumpkin décor on Instagram? All of the beautiful homes on IG had at least ten pumpkins in every room. Sadly, at that time, my fall décor consisted of a ten-year-old plastic jack-o-lantern and one really big spider. So I frantically ordered a gazillion pumpkins online.
Pinterest is such a great place for DIY ideas. Especially when it comes to Christmas projects. I recently saw this paper Magnolia wreath that was made by Seeking Lavender Lane. I loved the look of it so I decided to make my own using a scrapbook paper instead. It’s an easy DIY and I think you should try it!
I have always put just as much importance in how a gift is wrapped as to what’s inside. Ok, wait, maybe that’s an overstatement. But I do care a lot about how I wrap my gifts. Because that “first impression” is very important. (Not to mention the fact if they are wrapped really nicely it’s hard for my kids to take a “sneak peek” before Christmas.)
