The holidays are right around the corner and I am excited to share with you how I created this wonderful tablescape for Christmas Dinner. I love Christmas music so I thought it would be fun to create a caroling musical them at our table. I think this could also be our table for Christmas Eve because I have a really fun idea!

I really wanted to personalize our Christmas Eve table to create a Christmas dinner music theme. I am thrilled to partner with Cricut and JOANN and share the Cricut ® Explore Air ™, Wild Rose Edition, which is sold exclusively at JOANN. I was so happy to learn that this new Wild Rose Air 2 Cricut comes with the biggest JOANN bundle of supplies ever (click here to learn more and purchase).

I made two special decor items for our table. The first is the musical placemats. I selected eight lines from my favorite Christmas carols and used the Cricut Iron On process to add them to my placemats.

Next, I made these adorable 3D Trees to decorate the table. I found the free pattern in the Cricut Design Space and I love how they came out.

I also collect a lot of vintage items and I just happened to have some vintage Christmas albums. So I alternated placing the album covers under the plates on the table. How fun is that!

How to Make the 3D Trees

I used a fabulous free pattern in the Cricut Design store called 3D Tree Place card. Originally it is used as a place card but the 3″ x 3″ size is perfect for small trees to decorate anywhere!

Assemble

  1. Slide the trees with slits together. Fold the scored trees along score lines and glue into opposite sides of the pieces with slits.
  2. Fold stars along score lines and the glue all of them together to create a 3D star.
  3. Glue the star on top of the tree and the tree to the wood slice base.
  4. Write your guest’s names on the cream banner and set inside the tree.
  5. I added glitter for a more vintage look.

I also use some dried clay ornaments that I made for favors. My kids are growing up and they all need ornaments for their own trees!

So I am dying to know, how many of you are singing Christmas carols in your head? Well, you can be sure that our family will be singing all of the songs featured at our table this Christmas Eve! I cannot wait.
