Happy New Year 2022

|

Happy New Year 2022! This is going to be such an incredible year and I have a lot of plans and exciting news to share with you this year.

But first, before I write anything on this blog post, I wanted to say thank you. You have all been here, day after day, reading my blog, leaving wonderful comments, and encouraging me always. I believe that I have the best job in the world and I hope you know that I couldn’t do this without all of you. Thank you so much. I wish all of you a very Happy New Year 2022!

Let’s Start the Year Off Right

Happy New Year with New Decor

Now that we are all celebrating a Happy New Year, I am starting the year with new goals and a fresh start.

Making resolutions is a New Year’s tradition. Losing weight, exercising more, getting organized, and saving money are always at the top of the list of eyeryone’s resolutions.

Last year was a crazy one for me. I worked really hard. I am a hard worker in general, but last year, I took on some huge projects, which was kind of like having two full-time jobs. You will find out more about those projects later. So this year, I am focused on simplifying things, getting organized, and creating some calm in my life.

Happy New Year 2022.

So, as 2022 begins, one of my resolutions is to make my home, and my life more comfortable and organized. I’m not going to lie, the organizing is going to take some time. Making my home more comfortable will be a lot more fun!

Now that my Christmas decor is packed away, I can think clearly about what to do next.

One of the ways to create comfort in your home is to update your home with a new winter color palette. A new winter color palette sets the tone for your entire home. And it makes it pretty!

Want to join me?

Don’t panic. I am not asking you to redo your home, or hire a decorator or a contractor or embark on a huge project.

The goal is a simple shift by changing the accent colors in your home.

So how do you pick a color palette that works best for you?

Join me tomorrow on the blog for Sunday Morning Coffee and I will share exactly how to do this!

  12. Happy New Year! For the uninitiated in organizing…get rid of unnecessary items by donation or trash before you organize. We will downsize soon, but 2 years ago I started a “year-long”project” to organize my house. I just finished 2 years later. I am now satisfied with the organization AND what I donated month after month. Or, Aja, too much yarn. The organizing (get the Container Store as another sponsor) was not hard. “What to organize” was easy the first time thru our home and garage, Once you give yourself permission to donate or garbage anything, another trip thru a few weeks later, you will find more— with more thought and some pain. I can proudly say my one pro kitchen aid mixer now sits by itself. I used to have … 4. Did a lot of baking— red one just for Christmas, etc. now a few friends of my daughters happily have a stand mixer. Even found when putting Christmas decor away, a couple of things I didn’t like this year, as well. Once you give yourself permission to toss/donate without guilt organizing is much easier. My friends have my list of do’s and font’s and with their help, it is a roadmap for freedom.

  13. Happy New Year, Leslie. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us. Hope you are sneaking more than a few trips to the flower mart. Love it when you go there early in the morning. It’s on my bucket list one year!!

  14. Happy New Year, friend.
I look forward to your blogs throughout the week. I love the farmhouse look. Mine is a plantation house, which I love as well. You made me think about my accessory colors. I have got to get over the fear of moving my accessories to different rooms. I haven’t been able to do it. Thank you for your inspiration, Leslie.

  15. I have never owned a Kitchen Aid in all my years! I’m excited for the new year and always enjoy your stories and posts!!
