Spring Table Inspiration at the Beach

I learned today that I Always Need to be resourceful. I also learned that it is easy to create a Spring tablescape inspiration with mismatched items that are also very inexpensive.

When I joined this blog hop a few months ago, I never imagined I would be creating a table without fresh flowers and with no one here to enjoy it! I have been self-quarantined at our Ventura home for ten days and I didn’t think I had much to create a spring table inspiration. Interestingly enough, I loved creating this spring table using things I found all over our Ventura home. The hunt was really fun!

I learned a very valuable lesson today. I learned that you can create a pretty tablescape with mismatched items that are very inexpensive.

There are a few things you should know about this spring table inspiration. First, my original plans were to style this table with an Easter theme. But I didn’t have any eggs (not even the real kind) in our Ventura home so that idea didn’t work. Hence, I decided to go with a Spring beachy theme. 

I have a lot of glassware and sea glass and aqua colored decor. And I absolutely love how this table turned out.

I did discover there is a big crack in this vase, and I had to use glass glue (which I can’t believe I found in this house) to fix it for this photo. Fortunately, you can’t see it.

It is also quite obvious that I am obsessed with two things on this table. They are sea glass and ball jars. 

You can learn more about how I collect sea glass here. It is quite plentiful on the beaches in Ventura and it’s one of my favorite things to do while we are here.

I collect old vintage jars. The large aqua ball jars in the center of the table are vintage. I find them at vintage flea markets for about $5-8.00 each. The clear vintage jars filled with sea glass are also from the flea market. I have found these as inexpensive as $2.00!

The smaller aqua Ball jars are our “everyday drinking glasses” and they are new and from Target. These glasses are 16 oz. Ball jars. The Ball jars are sold in a package of four and cost only $2.00 each!

I mentioned that I had to scour our home in Ventura to put this spring table inspiration together. I pulled the aqua books off of our kitchen bookshelf. These books were found at the Ventura Antique Flea Market too. I will never forget telling the vendor I wanted books that were aqua-colored and didn’t care what the subject matter was. The guy thought I was crazy!

The plates are from Home Goods. And I only paid $3.00 each.

It took a while to find six matching placemats and napkins. Who knew that I had three different places in our Ventura home where I store tablecloths, placemats, and napkins.

Fortunately, I don’t anymore.

I really love my table and I think it’s great for spring. It taught me to be more resourceful with what I already have. Hopefully, you also noticed that I don’t spend a lot of money on my plates, glasses, etc. I love a great bargain and you DO NOT need to spend a lot of money on your tablescapes. They can look great even when the items are in the price range of $2.00 to $4.00.
