Around The House at My 100 Year Old Home – Week Two

Welcome to Around the House at My 100 Year Old Home. This is new a weekly update I share every Saturday about what is going on at My 100 Year Old Home.

Welcome Inside My 100 Year Old Home

It’s been such an incredible week and I love how the new year is starting off. I am still way more organized and loving my new life style. It’s been life changing.

I have a theme for my blog every month and January’s theme is Back to Basics. I have literally taken a step backward to learn some of basics that I am loving it. This week I mastered a basic cake from scratch and I loved the process! Chef Monique Chan was back in my kitchen and I loved cooking with her.

I started out his week by sharing a DIY for How to Make a Pom Pom Basket. I ordered the basket on Amazon and made the pom poms. This is one of those DIY’s that looks way harder than it was!

I mentioned last week that I have a new Editorial Calendar that I use every day and it is amazing. All of my blog posts for January are all planned out. I am working on blog post ideas for February and March now. If you have any ideas or requests, please email me at [email protected].)

What’s New in The Family Room

I spent three days in Ventura at our beach house with three amazing friends and influencers, @debrahalllifestyle, @barnhousechicksmarket and @the pinkporchventura. We cooked, ate, laughed, shopped and spent a lot of time brainstorming. Our few days together were magical! And I loved every minute of it.

I have a few cleaning and organizing projects happening in our home. We are doing a lot of work in the backyard and on our third floor. If you are wondering about our “third floor” it is an area of our home I have never shown. And why is that? It’s because the entire floor has been a storage area for all of my “unused décor”. It’s pretty bad and I haven’t shared it. But I do have pictures so I may share them someday.
