Two months ago, I embarked on a journey to plant a kitchen garden by taking an online class with Nicole at Gardenary and I have learned so much!

Little did I know, this experience would teach me the basics of planting and tending to a kitchen garden and change my outlook on gardening forever.

Now that my garden thrives and provides a bountiful harvest, I want to share the seven invaluable lessons I’ve learned.

I know it’s not perfect.

But I love the loose and impressionist look of using a palette knife.

I painted seascapes and abstracts for years using only a palette knife.

So why not paint a cake?

With frosting of course.

It took some practice but I loved making this.
