As winter recedes and we begin to see the colors and warmth of spring, it's time to refresh your living space with spring home decor.

After traveling to Provence last year, I fell in love with the fresh lavender and today I am sharing how you can effortlessly update your family room with sage green and lavender spring home decor, and why it's beneficial to change your decor slightly every season.

Are you confused and perhaps looking for my weekly Sunday Morning Coffee blog post?

Somehow I managed to post it yesterday but there is a link in today’s post.

I promise!

I can’t even begin to explain how I managed to post my Sunday Morning Coffee blog post on a Saturday.

But let me try.

I came to the beach house to get ready for my girls weekend on Thursday and usually I come up on Friday.

I worked like crazy getting the house ready and everyone arrived on Friday afternoon.

We had so much fun, and did a lot of things (which included a lot of laughter).

So when I crawled in bed last night to schedule my blog, newsletter, and Instagram post, somehow I though it was Saturday.

So obviously I scheduled the Sunday post.

It wasn’t until I woke up this morning and read the first comment that I realized what I had done.

You gotta love Ventura Beach. It’s a place where it is so relaxing and fun that you have no idea what day it is.

Duh.

This photo is our beach house and has two items that I bought last week at the Round Top show … the cabinet at the top of the stairs and the marble bust of a gal in a swim suit.

I love them.

Tomorrow I will share the post about how we started decorating for spring with lavender and sage green.

    Happy Spring!

I am inspired to add my spring color palette to our home and for the weather to begin to warm. How about you?

For the first time, I am beginning to understand how exciting and hopeful the prospect of spring is.

In Southern California, we are not accustomed to cold, damp weather for weeks and weeks on end.

We have had torrential rains and I am now understanding all of the hype and excitement for spring! I am ready, to warm up, get out to the beach, and see the sun!
