August is what I call a “tweener” month. It’s still summer but also almost fall. All month I had a hard time figuring out what was appropriate to share! It was often100 degrees outside while I was trying to decorate for fall. I struggle with this every year and this year I decided to ease into fall decor as gracefully as I could.
What did I love about August? I created mood boards for the Fall and the Holidays, I selected copper as my color theme for fall and I shared three copper DIY’s. I made a copper wreath, hanging outdoor lanterns and copper wire flowers.
We love to entertain so I planned and hosted two dinner parties for our family. One was in the backyard (which I am sure is no surprise) and the other was on the beach in Ventura. Both were amazing and really fun. I also shared my favorite entertaining DIY (my wood table tops) which is something a few of you have been waiting over a year to see.
I joined in on a month long renovation project with some of my favorite bloggers. It’s called the Makeover in a Month Challenge and we have each spent thirty days redoing our third floor bedroom. The final reveal is on September 1st.
