It’s Time to Start Looking for Vintage Christmas Ornaments

I have collected Vintage Christmas ornaments for years. There is something so special about the magic of vintage ornaments.

I love vintage ornaments, especially the ones from Shiny Brite. Today, I am sharing where you can find them, too.

I use my vintage glass ornaments in many different ways. Last year, I created this Silver and Gold table for the holidays, and so many of you commented on the vintage ornaments on the cake stands!

Most of the vintage ornaments I have collected are in traditional Christmas colors. I love that these vintage ornaments have hundreds of designs, and they come in all shapes and sizes.

I love using vintage ornaments on cake stands and tables and often fill the vintage wood boxes I use to hold our Christmas trees.

My Favorite Vintage Ornaments

Shiny Brite makes my favorite vintage ornaments.

I can tell you a funny thing about these vintage ornaments: I like the Shiny Brite cardboard boxes almost as much as the ornaments. It’s true!

Shiny Brite Ornaments

Shiny Brite ornaments were created just before World War II. Shiny-Brite’s first signature round ornaments, made from beautifully colored glass and painted pastel stripes, were treated as keepsakes.

They are all keepsakes!

Here are a few of my Shiny Brite ornaments from my collection. I love the striped ones. They are by far my favorite.

I love to use the Shiny Brite boxes as decor over the holidays.

Where to Buy Vintage Shiny Brite Ornaments

So, where did I buy my vintage Shiny Brite ornaments? I bought them at flea markets, antique stores, and my friend Judy’s vintage warehouse at VintageJunktionLA.

Anytime I spy these boxes with white, silver, red, and green ornaments, I jump at the chance to buy them  (if they are well-priced). I spent hours looking through the warehouse at Judy’s and found so many!

If you are interested in finding vintage ornaments, you can also check out this link on Etsy. (You can find them for much less at flea markets.) Shiny Brite ornaments come in different sizes, and some come in their original boxes, which is a huge plus! These ornaments are fragile, so proper shipping is important.
