I love setting tables for spring! It’s fun and I especially love how much using colored glass on your table can create so much excitement in a table setting.
I have been collecting colored glasses for a very long time. Three of the pink glasses are vintage and the other one costs $6 on Amazon. Can you guess which is the new one?
If you guessed the tall water glasses pictured above then you are right. I found these pink glasses on amazon and I fell in love with them right away. They come in two sizes and multiple colors. And they really do cost $6 each.
The other pink glasses are pink depression glass (on the far left) and two cranberry glasses on the right.
What is cranberry glass?
Cranberry glass or ‘Gold Ruby‘ glass is a red glass made by adding gold salts or colloidal gold to molten glass. Tin, in the form of stannous chloride, is sometimes added in tiny amounts as a reducing agent. Unfortunately, cranberry glass can be quite expensive.
How much does it cost?
Generally, cranberry glass carries price tags in the hundreds — though smaller or less intricate pieces can definitely be found for less than $100. Exceptionally made pieces with lots of detail will likely be more costly, while those that are simpler or have imperfections will be cheaper. Depression glasses can usually be found for $20 – $40 each. So that’s why I love these new pink goblets I found on Amazon for $6. They are fabulous!
I set this table with the pink and white runner at the flower mart, with Royal Staffordshire plates from TJMaxx (that were $4.99 each), ball jars with flowers from Trader Joes, and copper candlesticks from Amazon.
I guess you just might call this a budget spring table.
But I think it is quite gorgeous.
In fact, I love it! The pink looks great and the light shining through the pink goblets is incredible.
Have you ever seen such pretty water glasses?
When I was taking these photos, I never noticed the pink Camillas through the french door. Oh my gosh!
I took some photos with just my new Amazon glasses, and then I decided to add in my depression glass. I love how this looks!
I bought these Royal Stafford plates for $4.99 each at TJMaxx less than a week ago. I have loved this pattern forever (I have it in blue and black) but had never seen these plates in pink. I love them!
I can’t wait to have my girlfriends over for lunch so we can enjoy this table!
I absolutely love this table setting.
I mean, do you want to spend $100 for a vintage glass or the $6.00 option from Amazon?
Look at all of these spring tables created by my blogging friends. I am so impressed!
