STORIES // A Little More About Me

leslie-saeta-family-photo.jpg

Hi there. I have had my blog for almost four months and have never really introduced myself. You all know that I live in a one hundred-year-old home and I am having the time of my life converting it into farmhouse decor. But this picture represents what I am most proud of. This is my wonderful husband Dave and my three sons, Andrew, Matt and Michael. They are my world. Here’s a glimpse into five aspects of my life that you may not know!

WE ARE A TALL FAMILY

You are all probably thinking, “Wow, I didn’t think Leslie was so short!’. Actually, I am not. I am 5’11” tall. Dave and I just ended up having very tall children (they are 6’7″, 6’6″ and 6’4″). So the only time I am short is when they are home.

I’M 100% A BOY MOM

I am one hundred percent a boys mom. I love sports and that’s a really good thing. All four of my guys played sports in college which included swimming, baseball and volleyball. I almost played basketball in college but the coach and I had different priorities. (I ended up joining a sorority instead.) It was a wise choice.

I LOVE TO WORK

I have worked most of my life because I enjoy it. I have worked mostly in small business because I thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. My background is in marketing and creativity is the one thing I need to do. All of the time. Whether it’s creating a fun and “out of the box” marketing idea for a client or creating a make-it-yourself idea for my home, I love anything that allows me the chance to be different and creative.

I’M A FULL TIME ARTIST

Seven years ago I quit my full-time job to pursue a full-time career as an artist. I paint palette knife oil paintings and very large abstract paintings. It’s been my passion and I am thrilled I get to do this every day.

MY NEW PASSION

Recently my passion has changed a bit. I became a huge fan of the show Fixer Upper. I fell in love with farmhouse style decor and wanted to change the decor style in our hundred-year-old home. I wanted a style that was more comfortable and more simple. So I went on Instagram and found all of you. And your gorgeous homes and creative ideas.

And you had me at hello. I am so lucky to have found an amazing group of people who love to be creative and want to share in everything they do. I feel as if I have found my people. You are all so talented and kind and have helped me in so many ways! If we haven’t already, reach out on Instagram or the blog! I love hearing more about you too!
