Today I am so excited to be part of a Christmas DIY Blog Hop! I love doing crafts for the holidays and I love all of the ideas these ladies have shared! If you are coming from the amazing blog of my friend Kelly at The Tattered Pew, you need to know she is the one who organized this hop! Thank you so much Kelly!

When I posted a photo of this newly decorated boys bedoom last week, I had no idea so many of you would inquire about the Christmas wreaths in the window. Truthfully, they were added at the last minute. And most importantly, they took me about ten minutes to make. Today I am going to share with you the easiest DIY ever. It’s titled “How to Make a Christmas Wreath … (in ten minutes or less!)”.

When I styled the boys newly decorated bedroom for Christmas, I originally put these garlands on top of the headboards. But I didn’t like them and thought wreaths in the windows would look better. Instead of heading out and buying wreaths, I decided to make them out of the garlands. Each garland is six feet long and I bought both of these last year at Target. They are part of the Hearth and Hand Magnolia line. In addition to a garland, all you need is green floral wire.

The next step is to double up the garland in a circle so that the wreath has a three-foot circumference. I looped the ends of the wreath together and used the floral wire to secure them.

Next, I used the floral wire to secure the two layers of the garland together. Be sure to only wrap the stems together and leaves the leaves free.

Once you have reached the end, add a wire loop to hang the wreath.

So I have to be honest. I actually remade these for this DIY and they do look a lot better the second time around! I just love these.

You can use any garland to make these wreaths. They are so easy to make and very inexpensive to make.

You can also take off the floral wire and use the garlands again as they were intended. How great is that?

  1. This is just a little confusing…am I understanding this correctly – in the picture, the wreaths don’t look like they are 3 feet in diameter…perhaps you meant 3 feet in circumference?

They are so beautiful, and I have windows where these would be perfect! So simple, and so pretty. I just needed to clarify the size.

    Thank you!

  2. Leslie this is brilliant! I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner. Thank you for the inspiration! Pinned!

  3. The wreaths are beautiful Leslie and love the bedding and tree too! Such a cozy bedroom! Always love your decor and so glad to be on this blog hop with you! xo
