Let’s face it. Social media can be brutal. Sadly it is pretty cutthroat in some communities. But what about the home decor community? Not even close. The home decor community does an incredible job showing gratitude on Instagram every day. And there a few things you can do every day to help make it even better.
As a kid I remember playing ding dong ditch. My friends and I would ring the doorbell of a friend’s house and then hide when they answered the door. Of course, we never hid that well and our friend always found us. But it was all in fun and a thrilling game to play when you were ten years old.
But when someone plays ding dong ditch because they are trying to determine if anyone is home at your house so they can break in, then it’s not a good thing. This happened to us a few weeks ago and suddenly, safety in our home became a top priority.
I know what you are thinking. “What the heck is she talking about?” It’s simple. I love when you leave me comments. I love when you make suggestions. And I do listen to what you all have to say. It’s wonderful because I have received so many brilliant and creative ideas from you! I am very thankful.
One of the comments I receive quite a lot is that the recipes I include in my posts are hard to print. I understand this because it happens to me all of the time when I am surfing the internet for recipes. It’s really frustrating when you find a great recipe online and you try to print it and it either prints out on ten pages or doesn’t print at all.
I did a little research and found a Word Press plugin that fixes this problem. And can I just tell you how excited I am?
I am using YumPrint and it’s super easy and it looks great! Check out this photo of my blog post featuring my fabulous Crab Cakes. Now you can save the recipe and print the recipe.
When you go to print the recipe, it looks like this. I love that it gives you options to select font size and format. For those of us who need reading glasses, it’s a great feature.
Obviously, it is going to take time for me to change the format of all of my recipes. So give me some time. But I think it is a great enhancement.
So don’t be shy about letting me know how I can improve things. I love your comments.
I really do.
I think it is safe to say that Spring has finally arrived. For some of you, that is big news. The snow has melted and it’s actually possible to spend time outdoors. For those of us in Southern California, it pretty much means that we can add one more day to our lawn watering schedule. For all of us, it’s time to think about outdoor entertaining.
Spring Cleaning. It’s one of my favorite times of the year. It started a few weeks ago with cleaning out our pantry and refrigerator. It continued last week with emptying out of basement. And this weekend I deep cleaned our kitchen. But here is the interesting part. Before I started the “deep cleaning”, I “spring cleaned my cleaning products” first.
Mother’s Day is one of those holidays that my husband freaks out about. As the mother of his children, my husband thinks I should take the day off, do nothing and enjoy being spoiled. And yet, I always want to honor my mother on Mother’s Day. Thus, my husband has no idea what to do!
