Do You Need a Bar Cart?
Can I just tell you how much I love our bar cart? I think it adds sophistication to our family room. And it’s not like we drink that much. I just think a bar cart looks very festive. And when we entertain, it’s great to have everything right where we need it for entertaining. Why not set up your own summer bar cart?
I am curious if you have a bar cart in your home. We have only had one for about six months. I bought this cabinet and once I noticed the cabinet front that folded down I knew exactly what to do with it. I made a stencil for the chalkboard that says “It’s five o’clock somewhere” and then found things from around the house to decorate it. I love that it speaks farmhouse and is also functional.
Today I am going to do something different on my blog. If you have a bar cart, or end up putting one together, share a photo of it here on my post! The instructions are listed at the bottom of this post!
If my kids were younger I think it might have been fun to use this as a “kids cart”. I would love to have fruit drinks and cute plastic cups and refresh it every afternoon with fresh veggie and fruit snacks. Wouldn’t that be adorable to have for your kids? I can just see them using the ice tongs and ice bucket and then filling their glass with juice every day after school. This could even be a great way to introduce healthy snacks this summer!
Reasonable Priced Farmhouse Style Bar Carts
The first thing you should do is search your home for something that may work as a bar cart. I recommend a height of at least 32″ tall and you will need shelves, cabinets or drawers to store your accessories. If you don’t have anything you can shop flea markets and garage sales for a suitable vintage piece of furniture. There are also some really adorable and reasonable bar carts available for purchase.
I have always envisioned bar carts as kind of fancy in gold with glass shelves. And that is way too sophisticated for me! So I did some searching and found some farmhouse styled bar carts. Most of them are on sale and I have included the links so you can see prices. I only included the ones I thought were a good value. I would love to know which ones you like the most!
This mobile white wood cart would look great in my home! Founded atop four locking plastic caster wheels, this budget-friendly piece is crafted from a mix of manufactured wood and solid oak. Its rectangular top and two lower tiers provide plenty of room for barware and your favorite cocktail ingredients, while a towel rack on the side doubles as a handle for easier movement.
I love this cart. Founded atop four castered feet, its frame is crafted of aged bronze-finished metal while two circular black trays round it all out. This could be used in any room in your house. Click here for more information.
This metal and wood cart is perfect for any home. Blending contemporary elegance with rustic charm, this design is brimming with modern farmhouse appeal. The clean-lined metal frame with a black finish adds a touch of midcentury flair to this design, while the wood shelves with grain details add farmhouse flair. This cart also features castered feet, so you can easily move it from room to room.
This cart is the most expensive of the ones listed but I think you can see why! Oh my gosh, I love it! This 3-Tier Rolling Bar Cart is ideal for storage or display. Oval tray shelves are open and spacious making it practical for use as a bar cart or also in a laundry room or powder room.
This metal farmhouse cart is the perfect bar cart – exactly the right size for an apartment or covered back patio. Featuring 3 shelves and swivel wheels, this three Tier Galvanized Rolling Bar Cart will be the life of your next party!
I also found a few bar accessories that I thought were farmhouse chic as well. I do think you need an ice bucket on your cart.
This superior quality ice bucket is designed to suit all bar cart needs and entertaining occasions. This small and compact double layered wall ice bucket will serve you well by keeping your ice cool for a long duration of time and prevents outer condensation.
It is likely that you can use glasses that you already own. But I think these are adorable!
I love this set of four stemless wine glasses! Offer up your favorite chardonnay or sauvignon blanc at your next dinner party with this charming and stylish stemless wine glass. Use a set to outfit your home bar cabinet in style as they are perfect farmhouse style.
