This year I decided I wanted to make personalized Christmas ornaments. I thought it would be fun to make a list of words that were special to everyone in our family. Words from the year 2017 … such as people’s names, places we have visited and anything else I could think of that has a special meaning to our family. I started with a list of 35 words but by the time I finished making the ornaments the list had grown to over 50. It’s a good thing the ornaments were easy to make!
Chip and Joanna Gaines are at it again. Yesterday Target Stores officially opened their new Hearth & Hand Magnolia “store within a store”. I won’t mention who, but someone I know has been peeking inside the plastic surrounding the “store” they have been building at our local target store. I have been really excited to see the final “store within the store” so today I was at Target shortly after it opened.
As many of you know, I have a serious shortage of Christmas decorations. I own one box of decorations and I need to step up my game!
I am starting to get into the Christmas mode in a really big way. If you read my blog post earlier this week, you will know that I am really panicked about putting together all of my Christmas decorations. So let’s start with this garland!
Remember when I was in Taipei in August and I panicked when I saw all of the pumpkin décor on Instagram? All of the beautiful homes on IG had at least ten pumpkins in every room. Sadly, at that time, my fall décor consisted of a ten-year-old plastic jack-o-lantern and one really big spider. So I frantically ordered a gazillion pumpkins online.
Pinterest is such a great place for DIY ideas. Especially when it comes to Christmas projects. I recently saw this paper Magnolia wreath that was made by Seeking Lavender Lane. I loved the look of it so I decided to make my own using a scrapbook paper instead. It’s an easy DIY and I think you should try it!
