Decorating the Master Bedroom for Christmas

| | |

I can honestly say that it never occurred to me to decorate my master bedroom for Christmas. Apparently, I am clueless because I have never decorated any bedroom in our home for the holidays.

But that has all changed.

I know my Christmas decor is pretty simple. A wreath, a quilt, some new red pillows, a few white houses, and some fresh garland is all I used. I mean, there is no reason to go from no decorations ever to the decorations as seen in the Griswolds home. I think I am taking baby steps.

This is why I like a neutral palette. Just add a bit of red and green and just like that, it’s Christmas!

I went a little crazy buying the $3 little white houses from Target. But I really like them on our mantle. So simple and sweet.

Lastly, I grabbed some greens from my Home Depot free greens pile (I keep dumping the greens in a pile on my driveway!) and added a red ribbon to spice up my flea market lamp. I love it.

Now, all we need is some cool weather so we can light the fire in our fireplace!

Finally, I got my silhouette machine out and made a quick pillow. I love it. (The pillow is from IKEA. All I did was cut and iron on the stencil!)
