In the spring of last year, Instagram did away with their chronological feed and replaced it with an algorithm that ranks posts based on engagement (likes and comments). The good news to this is that the images you now see at the top of your feed are more likely to be interesting. The bad news is that your posts could be easily buried if you don’t inspire enough engagement right off the bat. The truth is, no matter how good your content, it won’t get very far if you post it at the wrong time.

Why a Neutral Palette Makes Decorating So Simple
Before I started transforming the decor in my home to a farmhouse style, I had a lot of color in my house. My living room was tan with highlights of aqua and my family room was gray, dark red and green. Our master bedroom was themed in yellow with orange highlights. Last week I filmed (and saved) an Instagram story on my phone just before I left for the airport to head to Atlanta for the Haven Conference. My intention was to post it the following morning an hour before the video expired. (You all know Instagram Stories has a 24 hour limit on the age of a video.)
