It’s time to host my girlfriends for a summer get-together. I am so excited to partner with Balsam Hill to create the perfect setting for a summer celebration. These copper items totally reformed our back patio and don’t be surprised if you see them out here well in to fall! OK, maybe even winter!
As a kid I remember playing ding dong ditch. My friends and I would ring the doorbell of a friend’s house and then hide when they answered the door. Of course, we never hid that well and our friend always found us. But it was all in fun and a thrilling game to play when you were ten years old.
But when someone plays ding dong ditch because they are trying to determine if anyone is home at your house so they can break in, then it’s not a good thing. This happened to us a few weeks ago and suddenly, safety in our home became a top priority.
I have been to a few flea markets in the past month and done a lot of shopping. I know I am really bad at sharing all of my final purchases. Usually, by the time I finish shopping, get everything loaded and unloaded from my car, I am too tired to take photos of my “loot. So today I thought I would share all of the things I found from my flea market shopping trips these past few weeks.
Father’s Day is right around the corner and every year I struggle with gift ideas for my father and husband. This year I partnered with The Grommet to share some of the most unique and best Father’s Day gifts. The Grommet is a place to discover and shop innovative new products from local Makers and small businesses. I love that they have so many great gift ideas in all different price ranges. I have selected three of my favorite gifts for Father’s Day and am happy to share with you how they can be used.
The most common question I get on my Instagram and blog is “What is the paint color in that room?”. We all struggle to try to find the perfect paint color. I can’t tell you how many times I was convinced that the paint chips I had picked out were perfect for a room. Only to get them home and realize I was way off!
So what’s the secret? Should we paint sample after sample on the wall with hopes that a color that looked great in someone else’s home might look great in ours too?Or should we create mood boards that include all of the colors in a room and select the paint colors that way?
I think I found a great solution. Read More

I discovered the best deal this week on hydrangeas and I can pretty much promise you that I will be ordering these once a month for my home.
Every once in a while a perfect gift comes along. Sometimes they are small and sometimes they are big. But the key is they usually have a very special meaning. Often, the perfect gift is one that took thought. I have always made most of my gifts trying to create that perfect gift.
I have wanted to make shiplap charges for a very long time. I even bought the wood and did some homework as to how I should make them.
I love plants. Especially real ones. So this week I have been on the search for a fiddle leaf fig plant. The big question is “Real or faux?” I know a real one is by far the best, but sometimes a girl has got to be practical and sneak in a faux one every once in a while.
